Track out!

This 9 weeks has flown by...

I have been finishing up the kiddos end of quarter assessments to compare to our initial assessment data, and it amazing how much they can grow in just a few weeks. Speaking of data, I will be sharing with your child's data with you during our conferences October 18th and 19th. If you haven't signed up yet, head on over to www.signupgenius.com and look over the available dates/times. If for some reason, you cannot meet on those dates, please email me, so we can work out another time.

Also, since the kids are tracking out, Friday folders and Kid Connection envelopes will not be going home. With the little guys and gals, we have found it is harder to get the folders back after 3 weeks. Instead, any papers and forms will be stapled and placed in your child's backpack.

Also, in your child's backpack, you can find their sight word books that we have worked on all quarter. In them, you will find stories using the sight words I, a, my, the, and see. With the combination of using the strategy of  illustrations and beginning letters/sounds to determine words, as well as using the sight words themselves, the kids will amaze you with how the can 'read'.
